HACKENSACK PUBLIC SCHOOLS is seeking a Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 Title I Family Friendly Literacy Night. The event will be conducted virtually to maximize participation and is funded under the ESSA Title I grant.

The Lead Teacher will organize literacy activities, set the agenda, manage attendance, and oversee all activities for a five-hour session. Must hold appropriate New Jersey State Teacher Certification, demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, and be familiar with

Title: Family Friendly Title I Literacy Night

Description: One (1) Lead Teacher for Fanny M. Hillers Schools ESSA Title I Family Friendly Literacy Night

Literacy Night will be virtual to allow for maximum participation.

Lead Teacher will be responsible for the following:

• Creating and organizing a fun filled night filled with literacy activities for parents and students.
• Setting an agenda and maintaining attendance.
• Ordering supplies.
• Overseeing all activities throughout the night.

Qualifications:

Appropriate New Jersey State Teacher Certification

• Strong organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills
• Familiar with ELA programs

Working Conditions:

Salary:

As per HBOE/HEA Agreement , Article 25, G;100% funded by ESSA Title I Grant (Not to exceed 5 hours)

Hours:

Lead Teacher – 5 Total Hours

Selection Procedure:
