Job summary

Kodiak Island Borough School District is hiring an Aide II TTL-IC at East Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. This grant-funded, one-year position supports instructional, social, logistical and transitional services for identified I-C students.

Location is East Elementary, Kodiak, AK. Hours are 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, with an entry hourly rate of $19.97. The district is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with public, students, staff and parents.
• Ability to carry out tasks assigned by the teacher/supervisor.
• Operate current office technology as appropriate.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of students, staff, school business, materials, and information.
• Lift/move up to 20–50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify eligible students needing assistance by teacher referral and other indicators.
• May administer formal assessments under supervision.
• Attend training sessions/workshops.
• Confer with teachers, counselors and students to formulate/update educational plans.
• Document tutoring involvement and progress; report completion of plans.
• Monitor attendance problems and collaborate with parents for improvements.
• Maintain regular contact with students and staff; document interactions.
• Coordinate book distribution programs as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of students, staff, school business, materials, and information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
