Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
• Experience as an abstractor including title search and lien searches is required.
• Working knowledge of the rectangular grid system and title research is required.
• Licenses/registration: pass the Arkansas abstractor or title licensing board exam within 180 days; valid driver's license.
• Travel statewide is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete title information on real property for long periods (not less than 30 years).
• Check items when updating or preparing title certificates.
• Provide plats, surveys, and deeds for right of way plans.
