Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Redmond, Oregon, is seeking an on-site chemical milling operator. The role supports the chemical mill process by removing titanium stock from castings and preparing surfaces to customer specs.

Training is provided; no experience required. Excellent benefits, 4-day workweek (most roles), potential for overtime and advancement. Responsibilities include milling prep, logging measurements, calibrating baths, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Prior chemical experience using dimensional measuring devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use dimensional measuring devices to measure areas on castings before/after milling to determine stock removal.
• Enter logs and records including measurements, calculations and chemical additions.
• Operate tumblers and milling baths; transfer and rinse parts; dry as required.
• Monitor and troubleshoot circulation pumps and bath chemistry; record daily lab analyses and bath temperatures.
• Maintain logs of measurements, milling times, chemical additions, and maintenance actions.
• Follow safety rules and operate equipment safely; report safety issues as needed.
• Perform inventory control of supplies.
