Job summary

LifeNet Health in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Tissue Recovery Surgical Specialist to perform sterile recovery, packaging and labeling of clinical and research tissues, organs, and samples. You will maintain sterile fields during pre-operative and operative recovery, ensuring viability for intended use and supporting donor recovery operations.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, PPE use, and travel up to 60% or more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Tissue Recovery/related experience, or 6 months at LifeNet Health in Tissue Recovery.
• Must meet credentialing requirements of area hospitals and recovery facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform donor tissue recovery, packaging and labeling following protocols.
• Prepare recovery supplies, equipment, and maintain sterile fields during procurement.
• Manage post-recovery donor care, inventory, and preparation for transport.
• Support training and maintain quality, KPI, and LEAN initiatives.
