Job summary

The candidate will maintain REDCap and Epic records, support IRB submissions, and train students while working a standard Monday–Friday schedule in a tumor bank setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination.
• Experience with REDCap or comparable research database; HIPAA knowledge.
• Experience with Epic EHR and chart review.
• Knowledge of biospecimen procurement and tissue processing.
• Experience in operating room, pathology, or perioperative clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection, processing, storage, and distribution of tissue and blood specimens from operating rooms and pathology (60%).
• Review surgical schedules and EHR to identify eligible research participants, coordinate with clinical personnel, and obtain and document informed consent (20%).
• Maintain accurate patient, consent, specimen, and REDCap records; upload documentation to Epic; reconcile pathology reports; and prepare IRB submissions (10%).
• Promote tissue bank resources, coordinate research specimen requests, and train and supervise students (10%).
