Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Houston is seeking a warehouse associate to manage incoming and outgoing shipments of tires and related inventory. You will work closely with shipping, sales, pickup & delivery, and service departments, operate forklifts, and assign tasks to keep workflow efficient.

You’ll assist with inventory counts, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and foster teamwork with coworkers. On-the-job training is provided; tire or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18+ and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to lift and move tires and equipment up to 100 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Forklift experience a plus (training available if needed).

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments of tires and related inventory.
• Work closely with shipping, sales, pickup & delivery (P&D), and service departments.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Assign tasks to team members to maintain workflow and efficiency.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Foster teamwork and maintain strong communication with coworkers.
• Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
