Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Findlay, OH is seeking a Tire Test Technician for the 2nd shift. You will grade cured tires against specifications, determine disposition, and collaborate with Production and Quality to address any defects in a timely manner.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are at least 18, and can lift heavy materials and work in a heavy industrial environment. This role is on site at the Findlay plant with strict safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Technical Associates Degree or 1 year of equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• The Tire Test Technician grades cured tires that do not meet company finished product standards based on production tire inspectors.
• Apply knowledge of General Specifications to cured tires and determine disposition (first line, blemish, repair or scrap).
• Alert Production/Quality if serious conditions are found to restrict suspect tires in a timely manner.
