Job summary

Best-One Tire & Service Inc in Monroe, IN is seeking a Tire Technician who is reliable, safety-minded and takes pride in delivering quality service. You will provide friendly, professional customer service and contribute to a well-run shop.

You’ll mount/dismount tires, inspect tread and TPMS, perform rotations, and assist with brake inspections, while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must perform duties safely and follow store policies.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and empathize with tire issues.
• Mount/dismount, install tires (new or used).
• Inspect tread wear, valve quality, and tire health.
• Check air pressure, repair punctures, and replace faulty valves.
• Perform tire rotations and reset TPMS as needed.
• Complete brake inspections and related paperwork.
• Load/unload and store equipment; keep shop clean.
• Assist customers and team members; perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do as a Tire Technician:

• Understand and show empathy towards customer’s tire issues.
• Mount/dismount, install new or used tires.
• Inspect and assess tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality and overall health of the tire.
• Check air pressure, repair punctures and replace faulty valves.
• Complete tire rotations; reset TPMS when needed.
• Complete brake inspections.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork.
• Load/unload and store equipment as needed.
• Maintain, set up tire racks, organize, and clean shop and equipment.
• Assist customers and other co-workers as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

What We're Looking For:

• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• 18 years of age
• Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and complete instructions.
• Position requires continuous standing, bending, lifting and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
• Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
