Job summary

Dobbs Tire and Auto Centers in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a Tire Technician to handle mounting, balancing, rotation, and minor vehicle maintenance. You will assist with inventory, inspect tires, and keep the shop clean and organized while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in tire service or automotive maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment and provide quality service.

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount tires; assess repair feasibility.
• Perform tire repairs, balancing, and rotation.
• Conduct minor automotive maintenance (oil changes, lubrication).
• Maintain clean work areas and proper tool storage.
• Drive customer vehicles into/out of the service bay; provide shuttle if needed.
• Receive, inventory, and store tires by size and type.
• Inspect tire casings and categorize as reusable or scrap.
• Assist with inventory and other tasks as directed.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mount and dismount tires; inspect damaged, defective, or flat tires todeterminerepair feasibility.
• Perform tire repairs, balancing, and rotation on a variety of vehicles.
• Conduct minor automotive maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, and accessory replacement.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment using approved methods and solvents.
• Drive customer vehicles into and out of the service bay and provide shuttle service when needed.
• Receive, inventory, andproperly storetires based on size and type; stack and organize storage areas accordingly.
• Inspect tire casings and accurately categorize them as reusable or scrap.
• Deliver tires to other service locations as needed and completeadditionaltasks or assignments as directed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
