Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is hiring Tire Technicians to service tires for commercial vehicles in shop and roadside settings. No prior experience is required; Love’s will provide training, and you will interact with customers and drivers to make travel better.

The role involves lifting heavy tires, working in varying temperatures, and following safety policies. Applicants should be able to rotate between day and night shifts and obtain a DOT medical card (Love’s covers the cost).

Qualifications

• No formal experience required; training provided.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Customer-facing role with driving and roadside service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tire sales, removal, and replacement for tires on commercial vehicles in shop and roadside service.
• Maintain clean store facilities and perform basic housekeeping.
• Move and lift heavy tires and equipment; work in varying temperatures.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
• Participate in rotating day/night schedule as needed.
• Possess or obtain a Department of Transportation medical card (Love’s covers the cost).

Job Functions

• Take ownership of the sale, removal, and replacement of tires up to, but not limited to, commercial vehicles in shop and roadside service.
• Be responsible for equipment repair and maintenance of the store facility including general housekeeping duties.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
