Responsibilities

• Inspect worn tires for faults and determine retread suitability.
• Operate buffing machine to remove treads and prep casings.
• Build semi-raw rubber treads onto buffed casings for vulcanization.
• Apply rubber cement and patches to tire casings.
• Program curing temperature and time for tire curing.
• Select correct tread size and apply it to tires.
• Inspect finished retreads for quality and proper labeling.
