Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Locust Grove, GA is seeking Tire Retread Machine Operators for a fast-paced shop. You will visually inspect tires for retread readiness, repair casings as needed, and operate buffing and testing equipment to ensure quality retreads.

No experience is required—we train you. Benefits include tuition assistance, paid time off, flexible scheduling, a 401(k) match, and comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance after 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect tires to be retreaded to determine condition
• Repair casings, if needed, utilizing proper procedures and correct size repair patch
• Operate buffing machine to remove existing treads from tires and measure tires to determine proper tread width
• Inspect finished retread utilizing multiple-step high-pressure test machine to ensure the integrity of the casing
• Receive and unload supplies including tread rubber, cushion gum and repair materials, envelopes, curing rim, tire casings, rims, etc.
• Assist in distribution center activities as assigned
