Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Deerfield Beach, FL, is seeking a Tire Maintenance Technician for our fleet department. You will perform tire-related functions on a variety of fleet tires, following company policy, regulations, manuals, and standard specs.

The role requires readiness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and to lift up to 65 pounds, with the ability to use a computerized maintenance-management system and read technical manuals. A team player committed to Publix's mission is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Must have a valid drivers license and authorization to drive a company vehicle.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods.
• Able to lift a minimum of 65 pounds.
• Capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system.
• Able to read, write, and solve math problems.
• Able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Must work well with others and be a team member.
• Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and must show commitment to Publixs mission.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations and use manuals and company standards; other duties may be assigned as needed.

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
