Gills Point S is hiring a Tire & Lube Technician to join our team in Redmond, OR. You will perform tire services, preventive maintenance, and light mechanical repairs while delivering outstanding customer service.

As a Service Technician II, you will inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles to ensure safety and performance. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Automotive, tire, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Technical or vocational automotive training is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Familiarity with tire mounting, balancing, and repair equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy tires and equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires.
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Recommend tire replacement and maintenance based on vehicle condition.
• Perform TPMS service and understand wheel configurations, bolt patterns, valve stems, and tire specifications.
• Perform oil and filter changes as part of preventative maintenance.
• Inspect and top off vehicle fluids and perform fluid exchanges.
• Perform light mechanical repairs (brakes, suspension, steering, batteries).
• Greet customers, explain findings, document service, and maintain a clean work environment.
