Mavis Tire is seeking a full-time Certified Automotive Mechanic to join Team Mavis at a service center in the Miami, FL area.

You will inspect, diagnose, and perform under-car repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, conduct state inspections, oil changes, and tire mounting and balancing.

Candidates must have a personal tool set, two years of experience or training, legal work authorization in the United States, and ASE certifications A4, A5, A6, A7, and A8.

Qualificações

• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Two years of automotive repair experience or equivalent training.
• Must possess a comprehensive set of personal tools for under-car repairs.
• State inspection license(s) and ASE certifications in A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 are required.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of under-car repairs (brakes, struts, shocks).
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil changes, fluid checks, and parts replacements.
• Disassemble/mount/rotate/balance tires; lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds.

About the Position of Automotive Mechanic

As Mavis's leaders in under-car repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. Mavis's Certified Automotive Mechanics perform a wide variety of under-car repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. Automotive Mechanics are also responsible for completing state-mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.

We seek team members who share our dedication to achieving total customer satisfaction and delivering the highest quality service. As an active role, Automotive Mechanics are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive and consistent movements in line with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. Mechanics must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old;
• Have legal authorization to work in the United States;
• possess two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or have a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position; and
• Possess a comprehensive set of personal tools for performing under-car repairs.
• In addition, candidates must possess the following certifications:
• State inspection license(s); and
• AATI certificate and/or
• ASE certification in the following areas:
• A4-Steering & Suspension
• A5-Brakes, A6-Electrical
• A7-Heating & Air Conditioning
• A8-Engine Performance
