Position Summary: As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educating other associates on tools, tasks, resources and mentoring new technicians, while communicating and developing interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems, product specifications and seasonality, as well as Point of Sale systems, phone and in‑person selling techniques.
- Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience and elevate associate engagement, utilizing hand‑held technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training, while encouraging others to adopt new tools.
- Communicate equipment, tools and supplies needs to the Tire & Battery Center (TBC), lead tracking and monitoring of returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, perform hand‑on physical area maintenance, maintain accurate inventory, audit safety and compliance standards, report complaints, hazards and problems, complete paperwork logs and required documentation, ensuring merchandise is packaged, labeled and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns.
- Act as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in the TBC area and modeling high‑quality service and products, developing, influencing and inspiring others to work in a respectful, supportive and team‑oriented manner.
- Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity; implement action plans using the Open Door Policy; apply these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other partners to identify priorities, deadlines and expectations, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, feedback and difficulties.

Eligibility & Compensation
- The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
- Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Acknowledge that the position requires successful completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if the position is received.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Auto service industry experience.
- Retail experience.
