Sam's West in Arvada, CO is seeking a Tire & Battery Center Technician to deliver safe, efficient service in both sales and service areas while assisting members with automotive tasks and purchases.

The role involves stocking, merchandising, cash handling, and performing tire and battery services, following company policies and safety guidelines. Eligible associates receive competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting the Company's products and services.
• Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up displays, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile items.
• Manage Tire and Battery Center stock, organize displays, and document logs and paperwork.
• Operate cash registers and process member purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges per policy.
• Perform vehicle services as needed (titting, balancing, tire installation, battery work) and communicate any vehicle damage to Members.
• Follow safety standards, forklift procedures, and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Provide products and services to Members following Company policies and procedures.

Position Summary...

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do...

Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the Company's products and services.

Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.

Maintains the Sales Floor in Tire and Battery Center in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.

Receives and stocks merchandise in the Tire and Battery Center, and organizes and maintains the Tire and Battery Center by following Company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.

Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management.

Operates hardware such as cash registers or related equipment, processes member purchases, and assists in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types.

Provides products and services to Members in accordance with Company policies and procedures by assisting with purchasing and service decisions, completing vehicle service requests and tests, operating Tire and Battery Center equipment properly and safely, receiving, storing, and disposing of merchandise and supplies, and completing and maintaining paperwork.

Maintains and services Members automobiles by driving cars into and out of bay area, identifying, notating, and informing Members of damage to their vehicles prior to servicing, following Company guidelines for tire installation, performing additional automotive services as needed (for example, repairing or replacing flats, balancing or rotating tires, and testing and installing batteries), and operating computer equipment when processing Member services.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
