SUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe Tint Technician is a skilled professional responsible for applying window film to vehicle glass. The technician accurately measures, cuts, and installs tint film on new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring a clean, uniform, and high-quality finish that meets standards. This role requires following safety guidelines, using professional installation techniques, and inspecting completed work to ensure quality and compliance with applicable tint regulations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Clean and prepare windows for tinting by removing any dirt, debris or old film.Apply fabric protectant, paint protection, and assist with detailing services.Remove and replace existing window tint as needed.Accurately measure, cut, and install window tint film on windows using specialized tools and techniques.Ensure that the window tint film is applied evenly and without bubbles or creases.Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to the installation and completion status.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while properly handling, using, and storing chemicals, tools, and tint installation materials.Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.Provide support to the Service Department as assigned.Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.WORK ENVIRONMENTOperates primarily within the Tint Shop and Service Bay and may involve occasional outdoor work. Regular exposure to mild chemical vapors, dust, odors, oils, fumes, noise, heat, and typical automotive service conditions. Proper ventilation is provided, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is available and must be used as required when handling chemicals, operating tools, or performing tint installation tasks.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, feel, or reach. The employee is frequently required to talk or listen, stand, and walk. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds. This job also requires periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.POSITION TYPEThis is a full-time, non-exempt position.Standard days and hours of work are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSValid driver’s license.Prior experience of window tint installation preferred.Knowledge of different types of window tint and their appropriate applications.Strong attention to detail, quality control, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to accurately measure and cut window tint to fit various sizes and shapes of windows.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Effective communication and organizational skills.Skilled in the safe use, storage, and disposal of chemicals according to safety guidelines.Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 lbs.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Hazardous materials handling or safety training a plus.
