Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Forestry professional to assist planning, coordinating, and executing timberland management across about 260,000 acres in South Carolina. You will work with the Atlantic Region to balance investor returns with safe, sustainable forestry practices.

Responsibilities include budgeting timber sales, silviculture prescriptions, and data management, plus exploring non-timber revenue opportunities. Strong communication and ESRI/MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Forestry or related field required.
• 0–5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ESRI products.
• Teamwork, critical thinking, analytical, business acumen, and entrepreneurial skills.
• Strong commitment to stewardship and ESG principles; knowledge of SFI, FSC, BMP programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute timberland management across 260,000 acres.
• Develop and execute annual timber sales budgets; manage contracts and BMP.
• Develop silviculture prescriptions including site prep, planting, thinning.
• Assist with recreational lease programs, land sale candidates, and non-timber revenue opportunities.
• Manage infrastructure and property line maintenance; data management.
• Participate in acquisitions, investor meetings, field tours, RMS initiatives.
• Ensure ESG compliance and safety program participation.
