Job description

TILE - RECTIFYING TECHNICIAN - D SHIFT

Dal‑Tile is currently seeking a Rectifying Technician to join our team. As the Rectifying Technician, we need someone who is ready to assist all team members throughout the production process in the effective production of tile.

Schedule: 2‑2‑3 Rotation Nights 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Primary Objective: Experienced team member that assists all team members throughout the production process in the effective production of tile.

Major Function and Scope:

  • Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to
  • Helps to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for the Additional Finishes department
  • Follows the Quality Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001 for all finishing operations
  • Performs necessary Lock/Tag/Test audits and assists in delivering weekly safety training materials
  • Ensures product specifications are followed throughout the Additional Finishes department
  • Responsible for reviewing PM, lubrication (type of grease, oil, and chemical products)
  • Assist the supervisor in coordinating the operations of the Additional Finishes department
  • Responsible for training of all new hires regarding safety, quality policy, and management systems, as well as operations of all finishing equipment and product knowledge
  • Responsible for working with the maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs
  • Fill in and relieve responsibility for all Additional Finishes job functions
  • Operates loader and unloader machines, changes set‑up, and completes basic maintenance tasks
  • Assists in water treatment duties and application of chemical products
  • Completed other tasks as needed. Core competencies include strong communication and listening skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, conflict resolution skills, and ability to analyze, plan and schedule.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing/production experience.

Competencies: Must be Dal‑Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks. Good oral and written communication skills. Good listening skills. Good record‑keeping skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
