Job summary

Dal-Tile, the United States' largest tile and natural stone manufacturer, is hiring a Kiln Operator to monitor tile movement through the kiln and support ceramic tile production. The role requires strict safety and quality focus, with a 6 PM–6 AM 2-2-3 shift.

You will follow SOPs, perform quality checks, stock materials, weigh and mix ingredients, load/unload, document results, and keep the area safe and organized while helping teammates grow.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow SOPs and QA checks.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Capable of basic math for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of kiln equipment.
• Follow Quality Management System (QMS).
• Stock lines and machines with materials.
• Transport, weigh, and mix appropriate ingredients.
• Load/unload machines and perform quality checks.
• Document safety, quality, and productivity records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support ongoing learning and help train others.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Kiln Operator to join our Manufactuirng TEAM! As the Kiln Operator we need someone to monitor movement of tile through the kiln firing processfor the production of the ceramic tile manufacturing process.

Shift Hours: 6 PM - 6AM (2-2-3 Schedule)

Primary Objective

• Ensures safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment.
• Follows the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Stocks lines/machines with needed materials.
• Transports, weighs, and mixes appropriate ingredients.
• Load/unload machines.
• Performs periodic checks on output.
• Creates samples and performs quality control checks.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor including safety, quality, productivity, and systems-related issues.
• Maintains documentation/records relative to safety, quality, and productivity for assigned area.
• Follows standard operating procedures and safe operating practices.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Supports a life-long learning environment, enhancing own skills as well as assisting in the development of other employees.
• Performs other related duties as required.
