Intel Corporation seeks a Compiler Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain compiler tools for Intel CPU and GPU platforms. The role emphasizes feature development, performance tuning, and rigorous testing to deliver high-quality code across multiple architectures.

The candidate will collaborate globally with engineering, validation, and performance teams and contribute to open-source efforts, including LLVM, while supporting heterogeneous computing workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in CS or related field.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years in CS or related field.
• PhD in CS, Applied Math, Informatics, or related field with 1+ year experience.
• Experience in C/C++, SYCL, CUDA, DSLs, OO programming, and production-quality compilers.
• Proven expertise in compiler architecture and software optimizations for CPU/GPU performance.
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and resolve defects in Intel compilers targeting CPU and GPU architectures.
• Optimize compiler code generation for performance improvements across diverse applications and benchmarks.
• Conduct functional, performance, and stress tests on compiler tools to ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate across geographies with engineering, validation, and performance teams to enhance product quality and usability.
• Contribute to open-source initiatives, including LLVM.
