Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a skilled welder to join our U.S. fabrication team. The role focuses on advanced TIG welding, fabrication from detailed blueprints, and ensuring high-quality welds across stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.

You will operate and maintain welding equipment, inspect finished parts, and help manage project timelines. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of TIG welding experience, can weld in all positions, and adheres to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years TIG welding experience, especially stainless steel
  • Ability to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions
  • Experience with stainless steel fabrication, heat control and contamination prevention
  • Proficiency reading blueprints, weld symbols and tolerances
  • Solid fit-up and fabrication skills (measuring, cutting, grinding, assembling)
  • Understanding weld quality standards and PPE usage
  • Reliable work ethic with ability to meet production expectations

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex TIG welds on stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel
  • Fabricate metal components and structures from detailed blueprints
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and plasma cutters
  • Inspect welds and fabricated parts for defects and conformance to specs
  • Prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining quality
