Job summary

Propell American LLC in Granbury, TX is seeking a TIG Welding Fabricator to join our production team. You will fabricate and weld stainless steel and aluminum components per drawings, procedures, and QA requirements, with attention to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding on stainless steel and aluminum components in accordance with industry specifications and standards.
• Set up and operate welding equipment while following proper safety procedures at all times.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
• Apply specifications accurately to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality.
• Conduct inspections of welds to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
• Identify defects and take corrective action to maintain consistent weld quality.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute welding projects efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to meet project timelines and goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow all required safety protocols while operating equipment and performing welding tasks.
• Perform complex crane lifts as required to support fabrication and assembly activities.

The TIG Welding Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and welding various components for the production department as per drawing specifications, safety procedures, approved weld procedures and quality assurance requirements.

• Perform high-quality welding on stainless steel and aluminum components in accordance with industry specifications and standards.

Education & Experience

Specific Skills

• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including TIG and MIG
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards, such as AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Familiarity with different types of welding equipment and tools
• Basic understanding of metallurgy and heat treatment processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as required
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials, working in various positions and environments
