Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) in Norwich, NY is seeking TIG welding specialists to join our manufacturing team. You will perform TIG welding and fabrication to produce components that meet engineering and quality requirements, read blueprints, set up equipment, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams.

This hands-on role offers a flexible schedule with start times between 6:00am and 8:00am, a standard 8-hour day, and potential overtime.

• Set up and maintain welding equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Inspect completed work for customer specs, quality, and safety.
• Support continuous improvement by increasing efficiency and reducing waste.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
• Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Perform TIG welding and fabrication activities to produce components that meet engineering and quality requirements
• Assemble, repair, and modify metal components according to specifications and work instructions
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing documentation
• Utilize measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and product quality
• Complete grinding, polishing, fitting, and finishing activities as required
• Set up and maintain welding equipment, tools, and fixtures to support efficient production operations
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Welding experience, welding training, or demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Ability to utilize hand tools and basic measuring equipment
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and manufacturing documentation
• Ability to safely perform welding and fabrication work in a manufacturing environment

What Will Put You Ahead

• TIG welding experience
• Experience welding stainless steel, Inconel, or other specialty alloys
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking experience
• Experience working in a quality-focused manufacturing environment

For this role, we anticipate paying $22.00 - $30.00 per hour.
