Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a TIG Welder for a contract-to-hire role in Saint Paul, MN. The position focuses on fabricating and TIG welding stainless steel conveyor systems from scratch in a busy shop, with occasional MIG welding on mild steel to support production.

You will read blueprints, identify weld symbols, and prepare materials before welding, maintaining high-quality welds and strict adherence to specifications. This onsite role offers a path to longer-term opportunities based on performance.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and callouts to fabricate from scratch.
• Fabricate stainless steel conveyor systems using TIG welding.
• Perform MIG welding on mild steel when required to support production.
• Maintain high-quality welds with attention to detail and adherence to specifications.

• Collaborate with team members and adjust to changing workloads as shop demand fluctuates.

Job Description

This role focuses on fabricating and TIG welding stainless steel conveyor systems from scratch in a busy manufacturing shop. You read and interpret blueprints, identify weld symbols and callouts, and prepare raw materials and layouts before welding. While most work involves stainless steel TIG welding, you occasionally perform MIG welding on mild steel to support production needs.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing layout work for conveyor systems or similar fabricated structures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
