Job summary

ASM Research is seeking a Systems Engineer/Analyst to support design and management of systems through lifecycle stages from inception to deployment. You will assist in automating workflows, configuring OS, and maintaining infrastructure services, with guidance from senior staff.

The role requires 0-2 years in Systems Engineering/Analysis and Linux experience; Associate’s degree in IT or CS, or equivalent experience, with a Bachelor’s preferred.

• Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, other relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in Systems Engineering/Analysis.
• Linux experience required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, tests, and maintains operating systems, applications software, and system management tools.
• Promotes efficiency of routine operations by increasing standardization and creating automation and scripting of tasks.
• Addresses the day-to-day management and maintenance of infrastructure services, systems, applications, and hardware usage.
• Works with various programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms.
• Supports and takes direction from senior technical staff to develop deployment specifications and configurations.
• Conducts technical evaluation, design and readiness reviews, and quality control.
• Provides some technical support in system architecture, system design, system integration and technical management and assists in providing technical input to the systems engineer process.
• Performs routine tests and documents system issues.
• Provides analytical support in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of robust, inter-linked systems.
• Supports system design, analyses, interface verification, testing, or mission operations under direction of more experienced engineers.

Job description

Supports the design and management of systems over the entire lifecycle from inception to phase-out. Supports internal IT process enhancement, creating scripts to automate internal workflows. Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience.
