Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help build more resilient, efficient systems for national security. You will design scalable infrastructure, implement monitoring, and automate tasks to reduce toil while expanding cloud capabilities.

The role requires 2+ years in IT operations or SRE, Linux or Windows admin, and the ability to work rotating shifts; security certifications or growth towards Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC are encouraged.

As a site reliability engineer (SRE) on our team, you'll help the Intelligence Community develop more robust systems by building a resilient infrastructure. You'll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You'll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. This is your chance to further your skills in cloud infrastructure and technologies while continuing to grow your SRE experience.

You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or SRE
  • Experience performing secondlevel troubleshooting for system, application, or network issues
  • Experience using enterprise monitoring and incident management platforms such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or EMS
  • Experience with Linux or Windows system administration
  • Experience escalating and coordinating with Tier 3 teams for complex problem resolution
  • Ability to analyze logs, correlate events, and validate systemlevel issues
  • Ability to work rotating round-the-clock shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diplomaor GED
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date

  • Experience supporting oncall, afterhours, or recallbased operations models
  • Experience scripting, automation tools, or troubleshooting frameworks
  • Experience analyzing dashboards, mission applications, system metrics, or infrastructurehealth tools
  • Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional engineering and mission teams in a hightempo environment
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
  • Associate's degree in IT, Cyber, or Engineering preferred; Bachelor's degree in IT, Cyber, or Engineering a plus
  • Industry cloud foundational AWS Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Cloud+, or MS Azure Fundamentals Certification
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
  • Security+, Network+, or Linux+ Certification
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
