Thrive in Tampa is seeking a Tier 1 SOC Analyst to monitor security events, analyze alerts, and respond to incidents in a 24x7 SOC. You will use SIEM/XDR/EDR tools to detect threats and provide root-cause analysis and remediation guidance.

The role emphasizes ongoing learning in cyber security, MITRE ATT&CK framework familiarity, and collaboration with fellow analysts to protect client networks and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of IP addressing, subnets, ports, HTTP methods, DNS, SSL/TLS, and malware techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors SIEM/XDR/EDR tools to detect security events.
• Identifies, analyzes, and responds to security incidents in real-time.
• Collaborates with SOC team to provide root-cause analysis and remediation recommendations.
• Maintains knowledge of current cyber-threat landscape and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within a 24x7 SOC environment.
