Job summary

Delta Air Lines is seeking entry-level Ticket/Gate Agents to greet customers, guide them, and assist with ticketing and baggage check-in. The role is seasonal and part-time with 20–40 hours weekly, and 150–800 hours per year dependent on station needs.

You will operate check-in, boarding, and seating processes, ensure travel documents are correct, and support loading and gate operations. Training and mentorship are provided to advance your career within Delta.

Qualifications

  • Proof of age 18+ and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in English with solid communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

  • Owns the check-in and boarding processes and ensures accurate travel documentation.
  • Manages tagging and lifting baggage up to 70 pounds and operates loading bridges.
  • Opens, closes, and secures aircraft doors as required.
  • Escorts unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers through the airport.

Responsibilities

Our agents understand the demands of air travel and are determined to make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible for our customers by helping with routing, trip planning, and gate boarding. Responsibilities include:

  • Owning the check-in process, boarding process, and seat availability, including making gate announcements and ensuring customers have the accurate travel documentation.
  • Tagging and lifting baggage from scales to conveyor belts. Some bags will weigh up to 70 pounds.
  • Operating loading bridges.
  • Opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors.
  • Escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.

Ticket/Gate Seasonal Agents work between 20 to 40 hours per week and 150 and 800 hours per year. Seasonal work will depend on the operational need of the station and location. Recalls can happen at any time during the calendar year based on operational demand.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation.
  • Possess basic digital literacy.
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT). You can prepare for the PAT by watching this video.
  • Pass a Customer Service Assessment.
  • Ability to hold airport specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
