Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a program of instruction that adheres to the district's philosophy, goals and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
• Keeps current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory and assists in curriculum revision and selection of books and materials.
• Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and applies discipline techniques consistently.
• Upholds board policy, school procedures, and communicates positively to the public and parents.
• Continues professional growth through attendance at workshops and conferences; participates in staff and committee meetings.
• Evaluates student progress using multiple assessment methods and maintains confidentiality of records.
