Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Michigan is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, and price donated merchandise, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

You will receive paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills. The role requires working 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with pay between $13.73 and $15.73 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.
• Help track and report production numbers.
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors.
• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock.
