Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Southgate, MI is seeking a Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

You will sort, tag, price merchandise, track production numbers, and move items to the sales floor while maintaining clean spaces and assisting donors.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
• May make bank runs, price items, or cross train in another department
