Job summary

Red White & Blue Thrift Store is seeking a reliable janitor to maintain a clean, organized thrift store environment. The role includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash disposal, and returning shopping carts to designated areas to support a positive shopping experience for customers and donors.

The position requires basic physical ability and a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Prior thrift/retail or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize various areas of the thrift store including the sales floor, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Empty trash and recycling containers, ensuring proper disposal and separation of waste materials.
• Retrieve shopping carts or baskets from entrances or parking areas and return them to designated locations for customer use.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all assigned areas throughout the shift.
