Job summary

Ventures Unlimited Inc. seeks a cybersecurity-focused software engineer to develop secure Python-based applications, perform threat modeling, and implement mitigations within SDLC guidelines. You will contribute to architecture reviews, automate security tasks, and work in an Agile DevOps team.

The ideal candidate has strong Python expertise (including FastAPI), experience with threat modeling processes, and hands-on use of IaC, Docker, and Kubernetes to deliver secure, scalable services.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years IT experience with at least 4 years in cybersecurity/information security.
Threat modeling experience using STRIDE, PASTA, Attack trees or similar.
Experience in cybersecurity roles focusing on authentication, authorization, logging/monitoring, encryption, infrastructure security, and network segmentation.
Scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) required.
Develop and review secure architectures using Python and FastAPI.
Unit testing with Pytest to ensure code quality.
Compliance with SDLC and security standards (OWASP/CWE).
DevOps practices and operating in agile teams.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, serverless architectures and Helm.
