Job summary

Relyans in Michigan is seeking a skilled machine operator to safely operate Thread Roll Machines and support the production of fasteners. You will follow work instructions, keep the work area clean, and assist with basic tooling setups and inspections.

The role requires the ability to read blueprints, measure parts with micrometers and calipers, and perform SPC checks while maintaining productivity and quality under standard safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills including decimals and fractions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented.
• Equivalent 6+ months of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates thread roll machines, starting, stopping, and feeding, and monitors for imperfect operation.
• Performs basic tool adjustments and clean up of machines.
• Grips and operates various hand tools.
• Follows 6-S principles and performs SPC checks per specification.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and uses micrometers/calipers to measure parts.
