ChristianaCare’s Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute is seeking a BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon to join our team in Newark, Delaware. We are actively seeking a new or recent graduate for this role.
Clinical Role & Responsibilities
- Duties may include patient care rounds, resident conference sessions, minor or major operative procedures, consultations, and in‑office procedures.
- Work with the Chief of Surgery and the Medical Director of the Christiana Care Cancer Program to provide high quality clinical service.
- Assist in the administrative duties of the Department of Surgery and the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute as assigned by the Chair and Medical Director.
- Participate as faculty in surgical resident educational programs.
- Share on‑call service with other thoracic surgeons as part of the multidisciplinary thoracic team.
- Attend the weekly surgical grand rounds and morbidity and mortality conferences.
- Attend the monthly multidisciplinary thoracic tumor conference and weekly thoracic multidisciplinary clinic.
- Assist the Chief of Thoracic Surgery in preparing thoracic conferences, including morbidity and mortality conference.
- Meet the performance expectations of the Multidisciplinary Disease Centers at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute.
- Conduct academic and scholarly activities leading toward publication in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Participate in local and national thoracic organizations and societies.

Annual Compensation Range: $480,586.00 - $822,794.00
Position Qualifications
- BC/BE Thoracic Surgery.
- Must have the ability to be licensed in the State of Delaware and Maryland and meet credentialing requirements.
