Job summary

Responsibilities

• Utilize the City of Hope nursing process in clinical practice.
• Assume responsibility for independent, direct medical management of a defined patient population.
• Perform physical examinations applying the medical model and nursing process.
• Develop and follow protocols/standardized procedures for NP practice.
• Assist in developing methods and systems for provision of medical care and department operations.
• Maintain open communication with physician and health team.
• Develop and implement patient education activities; provide education and counseling.
• Participate in performance improvement activities to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth through education, literature review, and workshops.
