Job summary

The Clinic Nurse at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Thoracic Clinic provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with thoracic conditions, coordinating with surgeons, oncologists, and other care team members to ensure safe, effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning patient care, directing and supervising nursing staff, and ensuring alignment with the professional practice model. Current Ohio nursing license is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide nursing care to patients and their families.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegating, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model.
• Collaborate with thoracic surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, advanced practice providers, and allied health professionals to coordinate complex care plans.
• Support patients throughout treatment and recovery and promote compassionate, evidence-based care.
