We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Certified Home Energy Rater to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. Responsibilities

• Perform energy efficiency testing and field inspections during various stages of construction
• Conduct blower door, ventilation, and duct leakage testing
• Report violations and maintain files/records
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Certified HERS Rater
• 3-5 Years of experience as a Rater in the ENERGY STAR program
• High School or Equivalent
• Good Driving Record
• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology
• Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions
• Ability to positively interact with the staff, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management, organization, and attention to detail
• Demonstrated initiative and independent judgment

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Mobility: Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, crawling, or kneeling to conduct inspections; ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, or unfinished stairways to access roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and other elevated or confined areas; occasional lifting up to 25–50 pounds
• Vision and Hearing: Visual acuity to read plans and detect hazards; hearing to communicate in noisy environments
• Manual Dexterity: Use of hands to handle tools and operate equipment
• Work Environment: Office and field settings; exposure to outdoor weather and construction sites; frequent travel between sites
