The Lansing Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Third Horn player for the upcoming season. Auditions will be held on September 10th at the Wharton Center, located on the Michigan State University campus. Musicians interested in auditioning must submit their resumes along with a $20 audition deposit. This deposit can be paid via cash or check sent to the LSO Office or by completing an online form. The application deadline is August 31, 2026. The LSO operates on a per service basis, with a principal per service rate of $137.68 for the 2026-2027 season. Musicians traveling from outside the Lansing area will receive travel reimbursement, as well as parking costs. The orchestra presents a variety of performances, including MasterWorks and Pops concerts, chamber series, and educational events, providing ample opportunities for musicians to showcase their talents.
