Job summary

Eagle Ridge Academy seeks a dedicated educator to fill a long-term substitute role for 3rd grade beginning February 2027, for approximately 12 weeks. The teacher will design lessons, assess student progress, and support literacy and classical curriculum delivery.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and MN Elementary Education licensure, with a passion for classical liberal arts education and strong collaboration with staff, students, and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and MN teaching licensure in Elementary Education.
• Desire to teach using the classical education model.
• Ability to develop positive rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of particular learning styles and the skill to meet academic, social, and emotional growth needs of elementary-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Designs lessons aligned to curriculum map.
• Instruct students in the pillars of character.
• Maintain discipline per school rules and disciplinary system.
• Plan formative and summative assessments linked to standards to measure learning.
• Manage student behavior and ensure engaged learning experiences.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver lessons aligned to oracy needs of scholars.
• Maintain record keeping procedures and assess class work, homework, tests.
