Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. seeks a thin films process engineer for a 3rd shift (Nights: Thu-Sat and alt Wed, 6pm-6am) in Beaverton, OR. You will support CVD/PVD processes in a high-volume, 24x7 environment, monitor SPC data, and address tool faults to protect product quality.

Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential. Qualifications include an associate degree in a technical field or HS+3 years in semiconductor thinfilms, plus the ability to work in clean rooms for 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Thin films (CVD/PVD) process engineering support in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Support SPC process monitoring and tool fault disposition, and address quality impact to products.
  • Set up deposition/sputtering tool recipes in metals or CVD areas.
  • Work closely with operators and provide training and support.
  • Review defect maps and SPC charts; verify tool logs across toolsets.

Shift: Nights 2, Thu-Sat and alt Wed, 6pm-6am

Responsibilities
  • Thin films (CVD/PVD) process engineering support in high volume 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • This will include, but not limited to SPC Process monitoring, responding to lot disposition from tool faults, identifying and addressing potential quality impact to products, supporting engineering products including process development and tool qualification.
  • Setting up recipes on deposition/sputtering tools in Metals or CVD area.
  • Work closely with operators and provide training and support if needed.
  • Review of defect map and SPC charts.
  • Understand how to verify tool logs in all toolsets.
Profile
  • Associate degree in technical field or HS +3 years of Semiconductor process experience in Thinfilms.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
  • Strong data mining and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and able to react to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work in clean room for extended period (12-hour shifts) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be flexible for urgent technical support (occasionally off hours).
  • Preference: Experience in thinfilms operation.
  • Experience in hold lot disposition in any fab environment area.
  • Understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment.

Job Req Type: Experienced Required Travel: No Shift Type: 3rd Shift/Nights The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $28 to $35. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors. This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
