Job summary

Victrex is seeking a Process Engineer to support production of thermoplastic composites and ensure smooth transfer of products into manufacturing. The ideal candidate has industry experience in injection molding and a strong background in plastics/composites manufacturing.

Responsibilities include owning manufacturing cells, developing new part processes, and leading NPI projects while coordinating with Quality to meet drawing specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Composites, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of plastics/composites manufacturing experience.
• Experience in injection molding processes would be advantageous.
• CAD experience is required; familiarity with SolidWorks is preferred.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned manufacturing cells, including safety, maintenance and calibration programs.
• Provide input for design of new parts using processing knowledge.
• Procure and commission new capital projects as assigned.
• Develop processes for manufacture of new parts; program machinery and determine processing windows.
• Provide hands-on support and continuous improvement for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Assess process capabilities and implement improvements.
• Design and develop processes, procedures, and tooling for thermoplastic production.
• Lead multiple NPI projects from start to finish.
• Collaborate with Quality to meet drawing requirements.
• Lead productivity and defect-reduction initiatives through process control or automation.
