Job summary

CROSS X SB AND S INC in Plano, TX is seeking a motivated Thermoplastic Crew Trainee to join our pavement marking team. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a clear path to a skilled trade.

You will assist with thermoplastic markings on roadways and parking lots, learn to operate equipment, and follow safety protocols on active work zones. No experience required, and you’ll grow with the crew.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; must be willing to learn thermoplastic techniques.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather and on active roadways.
• Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; punctual and reliable.
• Pass background check and drug screening; valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew members with the application of thermoplastic pavement markings on roadways and parking lots.
• Operate and maintain thermoplastic application equipment under supervision.
• Prepare surfaces for marking, including cleaning and layout measurements.
• Follow traffic control procedures and maintain a safe work zone on active roadways.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from crew vehicles.
• Learn proper handling and melting of thermoplastic materials.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company guidelines.
