Job summary

Novolex in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a Set Up Technician to support thermoforming mold set-ups and maintenance on a fast-paced manufacturing floor. The role requires reading blueprints, basic machining, and safe operation of tooling with a focus on quality and uptime.

You'll install and remove molds, perform minor repairs, and follow safety procedures while collaborating with tool room staff and production teams to meet schedules and keep equipment running efficiently.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required with 2-3 years related experience.
• Demonstrated problem solving and mechanical skills.
• Ability to read verbal instructions, sketches, or blue prints.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support thermoforming mold set-ups and ensure on-time completion.
• Install and remove molds; perform minor to major repairs as needed.
• Read rules, micrometers, and calipers to verify tolerances.
• Set up and operate tool room equipment; follow safety procedures.
• Work with minimal supervision and document related paperwork.
• Coordinate with tool room and production teams to ensure supplies.
