Job summary

PAC Worldwide Bethlehem is seeking a Thermoformer Operator for the 2nd shift. You will operate thermoforming equipment and ensure product quality, while following work orders and safety rules. This role requires basic math, ruler reading, and data entry into our PDE system.

The position offers a starting pay of $22.75/hour and up based on experience, with weekly pay and paid breaks. Proficiency with Excel and ERP tools is preferred; manufacturing environment with high noise and physical demands.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year machine operation experience.
  • Must read, speak, and write English with good communication.
  • Ability to perform basic math and use a ruler.
  • Proficiency with data entry and computer use.

Responsibilities

  • Operate thermoforming equipment and ensure product quality.
  • Identify safety stops and sensitive areas on machines.
  • Assist maintenance with preventative tasks.
  • Read work orders and meet specifications (dimensions, labels, run speed).
  • Complete daily quality checks and jot down measurements.
  • Set up or changeover machines per standard procedures.
  • Follow safety rules and maintain clean/workspace 5S standards.
  • Manage inventory via roll counts and system entries.
  • Record data in PDE system as required.
  • Operate multiple machines within same product group.

Description

The Thermoformer Operator is responsible for the operation and quality of products produced

by the Thermoformer machine.

2nd Shift:

Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Starting Pay:

$22.75/hour and up for highly qualified candidates based on experience, skills, and machine proficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understand machine mechanics and are able to resolve basic technical problems independently.
  • Identify E-stops and safety sensitive areas.
  • Assist the Maintenance team with preventative maintenance assignments.
  • Read and comprehend work order producing order to proper specification. This includes, but is not limited to, dimensions, pallet configuration, labels, machine run speed, roll size, perforation location, box quantities, etc.
  • Complete quality check sheet after every roll and/or per required frequency ensuring products are measured and tested to identify any potential defects.
  • Complete job setup or changeover on the machine with no supervision following standard work procedures.
  • Practice safe behavior with regards to equipment and tasks.
  • Maintain budgeted scrap levels.
  • Maintain inventory control by counting inventory, scanning rolls, and consuming material in D365.
  • Perform data entry in the Production Data Entry (PDE) system.
  • Conduct proper housekeeping per 5S handoff audits to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Understand raw materials and finished goods part numbers.
  • Ability to operate different machines within same product group.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Skills/Competencies
Language & Communication:
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write English with good interpersonal skills. To include reading and comprehending work instructions, safety rules.
Technical:
  • Must be capable of using a computer to perform data entry and printing functions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • Must be able to use hand-held devices.
  • Must be capable of reading a ruler and performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations.
