Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Thermal Systems Engineer - Turbomachinery to apply fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and simulation tools to improve gas turbine performance and reliability. You will collaborate with a global team to support product development and fleet optimization.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 0–2+ years of related experience, familiarity with CFD tools, and programming basics. Hybrid remote/office work in the United States is available.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
0-2+ years’ fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or thermal systems.
Experience with engineering simulations, modeling, or CFD tools is a plus.
Exposure to gas turbines, turbomachinery, rotating equipment, aerospace, or energy systems is preferred.
Familiarity with programming tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similar is beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

What You Bring

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
0-2 or more years’ fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or thermal systems. Candidates with more years of experience may be considered at a higher level.
Experience with engineering simulations, modeling, or CFD tools is a plus.
Exposure to gas turbines, turbomachinery, rotating equipment, aerospace, or energy systems is preferred.
Familiarity with programming tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similar is beneficial.
