Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's with 3+ years experience, or Master's with 1 year, or PhD with 0+ years.
• Strong knowledge in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, numerical methods, engineering design and lab work.
• Solid understanding of heat transfer principles in thermal engineering and fluid mechanics.
• Experience planning and coordinating logistics.
• Experience with MLI/SLI materials and soft goods.
• Experience with CAD.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Aufgaben

• Design custom SLI and MLI blankets from requirements to support the MLI Lead Engineer.
• Use CAD for blanket pattern design and develop thermal systems.
• Coordinate fabrication, bake-outs, delivery, and installation of flight MLI/SLI in cleanrooms.
• Guide material selection and implementation of thermal SLI/MLI with engineers.
• Oversee material traceability, flight-certified materials, and procurement.
• Support technician access and logistics to flight hardware across facilities.
• Assist with logistics for non-JPL and international partner facilities.
• Prepare for technical design and test review presentations.
• Support MLI costing/schedule for flight projects.
• Contribute to significant project milestones and design trades balancing performance, cost, and schedule.
